The software 12th Project was inspired for the purpose of expansion of consciousness in Twelve Steps to The One, Mack demonstrates how fear centered energies prevent enlightenment as he provides specific activities and exercises intended to help readers manage and eliminate their fears. In his book, Mack explains that the first step toward enlightened self awareness must always be a step taken toward eliminating one’s fear of the journey ahead. 
Twelve Steps to the One is a guidebook and a roadmap for those considering a personal journey toward enlightened self awareness. In his upcoming book, Mack notes the tendency of humanity to approach the multi-dimensional subject of self awareness with one dimensional solutions resulting in lots of motion up, down, and sideways, but very little motion forward. He details the pitfalls of this approach while demonstrating how a holistic, systematic approach can result in a dramatic acceleration in one’s evolutionary progress. 
Peter Schenk co-founded the 12th Project with Mack. In Peter’s career walk he has evolved some notable expertise in the digital world. Along the way, I became increasingly specialized in information systems design, information technologies, and remote computing. I have been working for one of the world’s largest banks for most of my fifteen year career after learning the basics of my trade at Boston’s Wentworth Institute of Technology where I earned a BS in Computer Engineering. In computer speak, I am what guys like me would call a “process-oriented” thinker. I spend my days drawing up and implementing new methodologies, best practices, cost estimates, and optimization plans. Imagine my surprise when I began to hear what my friend Mack calls a “New Song”. With the majority of my life invested almost entirely into my intellectual aspect, I was suddenly beginning to hear the gentle voice of my spiritual self calling. In the Summer of 2004, I followed the strains of the new song coming from somewhere inside me. I began to awaken to a world I had not seen before. In this new reality I was like a child discovering a whole new world. When I look back on this time, it seems like it all happened overnight. I acquired new sensitivities and abilities that kind of scared me from time to time. But all in all, this was a time of real excitement and a feeling that I was finally setting forth on a journey that would remain exciting, enthralling, and filled with wonder even beyond the end of my days here.
Mack has been engaged in spiritual studies for more than 25 years. He has spoken on the subject of enlightened self awareness in radio and television interviews as well as to groups assembled in churches, colleges, ashrams, convention centers, and living rooms across America and in several other countries. Mack is the author of the 12th Project curriculum and a forthcoming book about the 12th Project and the self enlightenment experience called, “12 Steps to the One” . Shortly after turning 40, Mack was killed in an explosion accident when a rented recreational vehicle he was sleeping in exploded. The force of the blast lofted his body nearly forty feet where it slammed into a bus style R/V parked in an adjacent camp site. A retired nurse tried to revive Mack for nearly fifteen minutes before giving up on the effort. Just as EMT’s arrived, Mack’s heart began to beat again, and a new chapter of his life began. Years of spiritual studies came into crystalline focus as the truth of Mack ascended into spirit, communed with The One, then was returned to this reality to complete his work here.
